Gnarlux
Terms of Service
Playing Baddi means agreeing to these. They are short, and the section about credits is the one worth actually reading.

This agreement
Baddi is a game made by Gnarlux. By installing it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not play — nothing here obliges you to keep the app on your phone.
You need your own device and your own App Store account to play. You are responsible for both, and for keeping your device secure.
Your account
Baddi does not ask you to sign up. Your account is created automatically and anonymously when you first open the app, which is what lets your Pal follow you to a new phone. You may optionally attach an email address, an Apple Account or a Google account to make recovery easier.
Because the account is anonymous by default, a lost device with no linked account means a lost Pal. We cannot restore what we cannot identify, and we would rather tell you that plainly than have you find out later.
Credits and virtual items
This is the part that matters legally, so it is written out rather than buried.
- Credits are a licence, not property. They are a limited right to use a feature inside Baddi. They are not money, they are not a stored-value balance, and they do not earn interest.
- They have no cash value and cannot be cashed out. You cannot sell them, trade them, gift them, or exchange them for anything of value outside the game — including to another player.
- They are tied to one account. Credits cannot be moved between accounts, and they are not transferable if you give your phone away.
- Cosmetics you unlock or buy are the same. A skin, a colour or an accessory is a licence to use it in Baddi, not an asset you own.
We may add, change, re-price or retire what credits buy. We may adjust how many credits you earn from playing. When we do, we will say so in the release notes — a game that silently doubles the price of something you were saving for has not been honest with you.
Buying credits
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, under your App Store account. Gnarlux never sees your payment details and cannot charge you anything.
Credits you buy are recorded on our side, tied to your account, so that a reinstall or a new phone does not lose them. Prices are shown in your local currency by the App Store, and Apple may change them for tax or currency reasons.
Refunds are Apple's decision, not ours. Because the purchase is between you and Apple, refund requests go to Apple under their policy. We cannot issue a refund ourselves, and we cannot override Apple's answer. If Apple does refund a purchase, the credits from it are removed.
Baddi+ Pass
Baddi also offers an optional subscription. These are its terms, in the form the App Store requires them to be stated:
- Title: Baddi+ Pass.
- Length: one month. It renews for another month at the end of each period.
- Price: €4.99 per month where we set prices in euro. The App Store shows the exact price in your own currency, and any change to it, before you confirm anything.
- What it gives you: a daily drip of Medicine Pills, the Cosmetics Pass (premium eye shapes, rare iris colours and exclusive mesh themes), and the Incubator rolls those unlock. It does not grant credits, and it does not make your Pal stronger in a match — everything that decides a fight is earnable by playing.
- Renewal and cancellation: your App Store account is charged within 24 hours before each period ends, and the subscription renews automatically unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before that. You can cancel at any time in your App Store account settings — cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the rest of the paid month intact. Deleting Baddi does not cancel it.
- Managing it: open the App Store app, tap your account, then Subscriptions.
Using Baddi means agreeing to these terms and to the Privacy Policy, which is where we describe what the app stores. Both are linked from inside the app as well.
What you agree not to do
- Do not modify, decompile, or tamper with the app to gain credits, items, wins, or an advantage over other players.
- Do not forge a purchase, replay a receipt, or otherwise obtain credits you did not pay for. Purchases are verified with Apple, so this does not work — and doing it is a breach of these terms.
- Do not use the app to break the law, to harass anyone, or to interfere with another player's use of it.
- Do not attempt to overload, scrape, or disrupt the service that Baddi relies on.
Because Baddi runs offline-first and has no chat, most of this is about the two networked modes — arena matches and Nearby Match.
Playing against other people
Arena matches record a result line — who won, and both Pals' name, level, shape and elements. There is no messaging, no voice, and no way to contact another player through Baddi, and we do not moderate anything, because there is nothing to moderate.
Nearby Match shows you to other people searching at the same time, using a rounded position. Search sensibly. You are the only person who knows where you are, and Baddi is not a safety service.
Our side of it
Baddi is a work in progress and is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, free of bugs, or that a saved Pal will never be lost. We keep backups, but we cannot promise a backup will always be there for you.
We may update the app, change features, or retire a feature. If we ever shut Baddi down, we will give notice in the app before the servers go dark, so that nobody's save disappears without warning.
To the extent the law allows, Gnarlux is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Baddi, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending your access
You can stop at any time by deleting the app. See the Privacy Policy for what deleting removes and how to have the rest erased.
We may suspend or end access to the online parts of Baddi if someone breaks these terms — forging purchases, tampering with the app, or attacking the service. Where we can, we will tell you why.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continuing to play after a change means accepting it; if you do not accept it, delete the app.
